Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin has launched KuCoin 5.0, a major platform upgrade designed to enhance the user experience by bringing together artificial intelligence, trading tools, wealth management services, and new accessibility options.
Unveiled on October 9, 2026, the upgrade covers six core areas: compliance, technology, assets, user experience, AI, and wealth management.
According to the company, these changes are intended to create a more seamless and effective platform, supporting its global brand initiative, “Trust, Built-in,” and its “Trust First. Trade Next.” proposition.
The revamp delivers a modernized interface, a expanded AI assistant, and streamlined ways for users to manage funds across trading and yield-generating services.
KuCoin 5.0 introduces redesigned interface and unified trading account
KuCoin 5.0 debuts Profile Center 2.0, featuring a card-based layout designed to give traders faster access to account details and frequently used features.
The exchange has also upgraded its sub-account infrastructure to simplify account setup, strengthen security protocols, and streamline management.
Enhanced K-line charts offer additional analytical tools and live data feeds, with settings automatically synchronizing across devices.
To assist users with varying visual requirements, the platform added a dedicated color vision accessibility mode for charts and key visual elements.
KuCoin estimates that roughly 360 million people globally experience some degree of difficulty distinguishing colors.
The interface continues to offer both Lite and Pro options to accommodate traders with different experience levels and operational preferences.
For eligible users at VIP1 level and higher, KuCoin introduced the Unified Trading Account (UTA). This feature brings spot, margin, and futures trading under a single framework for fund management, margin requirements, and risk monitoring.
The company noted that this setup minimizes the need to move funds between separate accounts, allowing for more efficient capital utilization across eligible products.
AI assistant expands across platform services
KuCoin 5.0 includes an upgrade to AI Assistant 5.x, serving as a centralized entry point for conversations, questions, and task execution across the exchange.
The assistant supports market insights, Earn services, order execution, customer service inquiries, and promotional campaigns.
By assessing on-screen context and user actions, the tool better determines user intent, recommends relevant features, and helps finalize tasks.
KuCoin emphasized that the AI integration is designed to work across the entire user journey rather than function as an isolated tool.
Wealth management tools connect earning and trading
The upgrade connects yield-generating activities and active trading through wealth management products, VIP perks, sub-account Earn participation, and support for selected wealth assets inside the UTA framework.
Main accounts and sub-accounts can participate in Earn while keeping funds managed independently.
Meanwhile, KCUSD can now serve as collateral margin within the Unified Trading Account, eliminating the need to repeatedly transfer funds back and forth between yield products and trading activities.
KuCoin highlighted that these changes are backed by ongoing enhancements to its underlying compliance, technical infrastructure, and asset security.
“Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin.
Wong added that KuCoin 5.0 translates the firm’s long-term focus on trust into concrete product features, giving users greater control and confidence while preparing the exchange for the next phase of digital finance.
The company stated that the update establishes a foundation for future platform developments by linking trading, asset management, and intelligent services within a more cohesive experience.
