New capital will support AI trading agents, cross-chain settlement features, and expanded liquidity integration.
Cancore, an infrastructure protocol built on the Canton Network that bridges tokenized assets with public blockchain liquidity, has raised $7.2 million in a seed funding round backed by Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.
The platform has been active on the Canton mainnet since April 2026, operating as a validator and Featured App.
According to protocol figures, Cancore had generated over $538,000 in revenue while facilitating more than 84,000 trades totaling over $53.2 million in cumulative volume as of October 1.
Cancore develops infrastructure engineered to connect Canton-native assets—including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs)—with liquidity across public blockchain ecosystems.
Describing its framework as a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance,” the project aims to streamline the trading and execution of tokenized financial instruments across multiple blockchain networks.
“Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity,” said Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream.
“Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We’re pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype.”
To process cross-network transactions between Canton and supported public chains, Cancore relies on atomic settlement mechanisms.
The platform ensures that transactions either complete in full or fail entirely, preventing partial execution.
Users maintain control of their private keys through Cancore’s self-custody wallet, while cross-chain swaps are designed to settle across both networks or issue a refund.
The platform also features automated execution capabilities through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing users to automate actions and delegate operations to AI systems.
Cancore plans to enhance these tools by enabling users to create and deploy personalized trading agents capable of executing strategies, rebalancing portfolios, allocating capital, and tapping into liquidity.
In addition to building out its agentic trading framework, Cancore is working to bring more real-world assets and liquidity into the Canton network.
“Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step,” said Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore.
“We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.”
The broader goal is establishing a unified execution layer through which autonomous trading agents can interact with Canton-native assets, tokenized RWAs, and public-chain liquidity.
Cancore will allocate the $7.2 million seed capital toward expanding into additional blockchain environments and liquidity venues, while advancing its settlement, security, and agentic trading infrastructure.
“In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage,” said Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures.
“Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today. Cancore is building it to the security standard institutions expect, and we think this team is well placed to define how tokenized capital moves across networks.”
This expansion will build upon Cancore’s established connectivity across Canton, Tron, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks.
