Pi Network extends recovery above $0.097 as ecosystem utility grows

Key takeaways

  • Pi Network climbed past $0.097 on Monday, building on two consecutive weeks of positive performance.
  • The Pi Core Team rolled out SoloHost upgrades and Pi Desktop version 0.6.3, aiming to boost app discovery, developer tools, and overall reliability.
  • The token remains positioned above its 50-day EMA of $0.094, with an RSI hovering near 60 indicating growing bullish momentum.

Pi Network (PI) continued its upward trajectory on Monday, pushing past the $0.097 threshold after securing back-to-back weekly gains.

While fresh ecosystem enhancements and refined developer resources are bolstering the network’s utility, the asset still trades below its key long-term exponential moving averages (EMAs), keeping the overarching technical landscape bearish despite the recent positive momentum.

Pi Network releases SoloHost and Desktop updates

The Pi Core Team recently deployed upgrades for SoloHost alongside the launch of Pi Desktop version 0.6.3.

According to the development team, these releases are designed to enhance app discovery, bolster network stability, and provide better resources for developers building on the platform.

Ongoing development efforts could drive higher application engagement and increase PI’s real-world utility. This technical progress coincided with the token’s recent price rebound, which saw PI climb 1.68% last week before extending its upward move on Monday.

Even so, these ecosystem milestones will need to generate consistent user engagement and genuine token demand to foster a sustained long-term rally.

PI holds above the 50-Day EMA

Hovering near $0.097 on Monday, Pi Network managed to hold its ground just above the 50-day exponential moving average, which sits at $0.094.

Remaining above this threshold gives the cryptocurrency a slightly bullish short-term bias. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering around 60, suggesting that buying pressure is building without entering overbought territory.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator also shows a slightly positive bias, hinting at the potential for further near-term upside.

Despite these positive signs, the recovery remains fragile as PI continues to trade under its 100-day and 200-day EMAs, located near $0.105 and $0.138, respectively. These levels keep the broader market structure bearish.

The first major hurdle for buyers lies at the 100-day EMA near $0.105. A decisive break above this level could accelerate the recovery, potentially opening the door to horizontal resistance at $0.118.

Further up, the 200-day EMA near $0.138 presents a much more formidable barrier. Reclaiming this long-term average is crucial for shifting PI’s medium- to long-term outlook back to bullish.

Conversely, if the token fails to clear the $0.105 mark, it may enter a phase of consolidation or face renewed selling pressure.

Immediate support is established at the 50-day EMA near $0.094. Staying above this support level preserves the constructive short-term outlook, offering buyers a base to mount another push upward.

A sharp drop below $0.094, however, would jeopardize the current recovery, likely dragging the price down to horizontal support at $0.075.

In a more severe bearish turn, intensified selling pressure could push PI back down to its previous trendline breakout zone near $0.045, which serves as a major structural support.
