REAL Finance’s $ASSET joins ESMA’s Interim MiCA Register as Europe push deepens
  • The white paper for REAL Finance‘s $ASSET token has been added to the ESMA MiCA register.
  • This inclusion provides $ASSET with a centralized, standardized disclosure reference throughout Europe.
  • REAL Finance is aiming to tokenise more than €3.5 billion in assets across the European market.

Real Technologies Inc., the issuer of the $ASSET token powering the REAL Finance network, has secured a spot for its crypto-asset white paper on the European Securities and Markets Authority’s (ESMA) Interim MiCA Register. This listing establishes a centralized reference point under the European Union’s regulatory framework for digital assets.

Specifically, the entry is categorized under Title II of the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which covers crypto-assets other than asset-referenced or e-money tokens.

ESMA has pointed out that inclusion in this register does not mean an EU competent authority has reviewed or approved the white paper, meaning the issuer remains solely responsible for its contents.

Establishing a Standardized Regulatory Reference

For REAL Finance, this registry entry provides a unified disclosure point for institutional players, exchanges, and other market counterparties evaluating $ASSET within the European Economic Area (EEA).

The development follows the token’s debut on Kraken, where trading launched on April 30. Real Technologies notes that $ASSET has also been active on KuCoin and MEXC since April.

“Being listed in ESMA’s Interim MiCA Register gives institutions and exchanges a single, transparent reference for evaluating $ASSET instead of thirty separate national processes. It’s a foundational step for how we want to operate in Europe,” said Ivo Grigorov, CEO of REAL Finance.

The company clarified that this regulatory notification operates independently of exchange access, offering standardized disclosure rather than guaranteeing that any trading platform will list or maintain support for the token.

Expanding Into Tokenized Real-World Assets

REAL Finance is focusing its network capabilities on the tokenization of real-world financial assets—a sector drawing significant interest from institutional asset managers, banks, and regulators.

The firm intends to tokenise upwards of €3.5 billion in assets through its European network, collaborating with regulated entities such as Austria’s Wiener Privatbank to handle custody and structuring.

However, the MiCA registry listing does not constitute an official regulatory endorsement of $ASSET. ESMA maintains that it does not review or validate the white papers on the register.

Real Technologies also emphasized that individual trading platforms retain full discretion regarding whether to list the token.

This distinction underscores MiCA’s goal of bringing uniform transparency to the European crypto market without turning white-paper filings into official investment approvals.
